Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic is soliciting a sole-source contract to AAVID THERMACORE, INC. DIV BO, 5960 Inglewood Dr. Suite 125 Pleasanton, CA 94588 for quantity 40 F17088-100-AB, COOLER, AIR, ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT, MODIFIED heat exchangers. This heat exchanger is an integral part of the government vehicle Block D system, which is currently fielded and also in production for additional future fielding. It has undergone prior testing by the program, per MIL-STD-810, to confirm suitability for this specific application. No other manufacturers produce an item with the required form, fit and function characteristics required for this Block D system. The authority for soliciting from a single source is FAR 13.106(b)(1). The Government anticipates the award of a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order.
