Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic intends to award a sole-source contract to Ohio Ordnance Works (OOW), 310 Park Drive Chardon, OH 44024 for non-functional metal-bodied simulation weapons used for space claim and for interface validation requirements both in the physical space and radio frequency (RF) space. OOW is currently the only manufacturer on the market that produce non- functional simulation weapons that meets both prototyping and testing efforts for accurate space claim interoperability validation of the weapons and interference testing through radio RF simulation and actual real world RF testing. The authority for soliciting from a single source is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The Government anticipates the award of a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under authority of FAR 13.106-1. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
