This is an intended sole source announcement authorized by FAR 6.302-1 One Source as documented in the attached sole source justification statement. Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), 22130, intends to award this requirement on a sole source basis to VT MILCOM on a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order to provide services for refurbishment of two SURTASS reeling machines in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement. This announcement, in accordance with requirement listed above, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This synopsis is posted for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No electronic or hard copy Request for Quote (RFQ) will be prepared or made available for distribution. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all quotes received in writing within the request for quote due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. Quotes must be submitted via email to: teaira.l.hawley.civ@us.navy.mil and are due by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on 26 August 2022. This action is conducted under FAR Part 13. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541330. System Award Management (SAM) registration is required for all vendors doing business with the Department of Defense (DoD). Invoices must be submitted electronically via Wide Area Workflow (WAWF).
