International LTD is the Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) of the equipment to be being repaired and holds all proprietary rights to the equipment. The authority for soliciting from a single source is FAR 13.106(b)(1). The Government anticipates the award of a Firm-Fixed-Priced purchase order under authority of FAR Part 13. The proposed contract action is for repair of the equipment listed above, and the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under authority of FAR 13.106-1. This is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
