Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic, intends to award this requirement on a Sole Source basis to Motorola Solutions, Inc, 809 Pinnacle Dr Ste G, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090, on a Firm-Fixed Price Contract for One Year for SIWCS System Testing Technical Support. This synopsis is posted to determine whether there is adequate interest for this requirement. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Motorola Solutions, Inc is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the current system which uses a proprietary trunked radio architecture. This will allow for non-0EM manufactured radios to work on the system. Motorola Solutions, Inc is the OEM and holds the proprietary manufacturing drawings and schematics for all items that they manufacturer and has exclusive data rights and no other company has requisite knowledge nor share data rights with other companies. The authority for Single Source is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). No electronic or hard copy RFQ will be made available for distribution.
