Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic intends to award a sole-source contract to Harris Corporation, 1680 University Avenue, Rochester, NY 14610 to procure and implement the following RF-78001 Upgrade Kits 1) RF-7800I-UK010 - DESCRIPTION: UPGRADE KIT, RF-7800I-CU10X; QTY: 8 2) RF-7800I-UK026 - DESCRIPTION: UPGRADE KIT, RF-7800I-KD40X, NV, W/MODEM; QTY: 13 3) RF-7800I-UK012 - DESCRIPTION: UPGRADE KIT, RF-7800I-SA100, NV; QTY: 6 4) RF-7800I-UK023 - DESCRIPTION: UPGRADE KIT, RF-7800I-RD200, NV, W/MODEM; QTY: 7 5) RF-7800I-UK024- DESCRIPTION: UPGRADE KIT, RF-7800I-RD400, NV, W/MODEM; QTY: 22 6) RF-7800I-UK014 - DESCRIPTION: UPGRADE KIT, RF-7800I-TA100, NV, W/MODEM; QTY: 4 The above upgrade kits are required to be implemented in order to upgrade legacy Harris 7800I Intercommunication System (ICS) hardware to current configuration management requirements. The Harris 7800I ICS' meet all configuration management requirements and are currently the only approved ICS' authorized to be fielded by the Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA). Harris is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the 7800I ICS and is the only manufacture authorized to provide the required upgrade kits and perform the upgrades and repairs on 7800I ICS components. The authority for soliciting from a single source is FAR 13.106(b)(1). The Government anticipates the award of a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under authority of FAR 13.106-2. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
