This is a synopsis/pre-solicitation notice for a competitive, non-commercial supply purchase. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with an ordering period of two (2) years as a result of this notice. There will be an estimated max quantity of 21 units to be ordered in year 1 and an estimated max quantity of 21 units to be ordered in year 2. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is a Department of Defense entity responsible for research and development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support organization for the Navy's ships, submarines, military watercraft and unmanned vehicles. This requirement is for NSWCPD Code 441, which is responsible for Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG) 51 Class Electrical Power Systems. This requirement is for the procurement of Kato DVR systems (also referred to as DEXCOP), along with the adapter plates/vibration blocks used for mounting, to support the replacement of the Excitation Control Panel (EXCOP). This is a brand name procurement. Item Name: Kato DVR System/DEXCOP Part Number: 509-01113-00 This solicitation shall be issued with a Brand Name Justification & Approval. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
