The prior procurement effort was put on hold and has now become active as of the date of this posting. The Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to procure the following services on a Sole Source basis from Rolls-Royce Marine North America, Walpole, MA (RRMNA): Repair of Waterjet and Impeller Drive Shaft assemblies for Freedom Class Littoral Combat Ship (LCS-1) ships. The scope of this contemplated contract will include the repair and repackaging of the following assets: 172AX MK1 Boost Waterjet Assembly 172AX MK1 Steerable Waterjet Assembly Impeller Drive Shaft Assembly A maximum quantity of 106 waterjet and shaft assemblies are to be repaired throughout the contract term. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)[10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1)], Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1.
