It is intended to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) to DRS Naval Power Systems on a sole source basis. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) has established a requirement for acquisition of end of life legacy Profibus Cards manufactured by DRS. Profibus Cards, (Part Number MC-004404) is used within NSWCPD as a unique configuration for the DDG1000 class vessels. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and does not constitute a solicitation. However, all RFQs received prior to the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or conduct a competitive procurement. A hard copy of the solicitation will not be made available.
