The Naval Foundry & Propeller Center (NFPC) purchased three (3) ladles from Acetarc Welding and Engineering in 2015. These ladles are used during foundry pours and are a major part of production at NFPC. NFPC needs to procure spare gearboxes with parts for each ladle. Acetarc Welding and Engineering (Acetarc) was the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for all three (3) ladles. The gearboxes previously purchased with the ladles were designed and manufactured by Acetarc. The clutch assembly and torque limiter that accompany the gearbox were modified by Acetarc to suit the complete motor drive layout. Acetarc does not have any authorized distributers; therefore, they are the only company that can supply the spare parts for the ladles NFPC had previously purchased.
