The Naval Su... This is a synopsis/presolicitation notice for a non-commercial supply purchase. It is intended to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) to C.E. Precision Assemblies, Inc. on a sole source basis. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) has established a requirement for AC Plant extenders and molded cables, which are presently installed on shipboard hulls of CVN Class ships. This purchase is for CEPA Inc AC Plant Extender Box Assemblies & Molded cable part# 514-8554362. Purchase of AC Plant Extender Box & Molded cables supports the Refueling Complex OverHaul (RCOH) Machinery Control Monitoring System (MCMS) Upgrade on CVN class ships. The parts listed under this requirement cannot be substituted for another design due to engineering cost associated with current ILS/Tech Manuals. Market research dictates that no other manufacturers can provide a product with the same form, fit and function that has been qualified to be used on the ship. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and does not constitute a solicitation. However, all RFQs received prior to the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or conduct a competitive procurement. A hard copy of the solicitation will not be made available.
