The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to HYTORC DIV UNEX Co. located in Mahwah, NJ. This is to provide splined self-reacting washers. Drawings C24553000A and C24533000A specifically require the components (both call out the CAGE code and part number with no equivalents allowed). The drawings do not allow any deviations. The required self-reacting washers are of a patented design, which is owned and produced by the intended source. These components are critical to the design. The proposed action is for supplies, which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received prior to 30 August 2019. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
