Response date: 15 Aug 19 2:00 PM EST 5. Place of performance: NSWCPD, Philadelphia, PA 6. Description: This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for INFORMATION & MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. This IS NOT a request for proposals, quotations, or bids. Responses to this request will not be returned. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future and potential solicitation. It is the intent of NSWCPD to use this information for market research purposes only. This survey is being conducted to determine the interest of industry and to establish that there are adequate large and/or small business contractors capable of providing the work described below. The Government WILL NOT pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of any such information. This RFI Notice is issued solely for conducting market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 and gathering information for planning purposes. The Government is seeking qualified companies capable of providing apprenticeship training courses with the following characteristics: Location(s) within a 30 mile radius of the Philadelphia Naval Business Center Accreditation from a recognized higher education accreditation body Qualified instructors for all classes In person classes only Classes must be offered between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM from Monday - Friday All books and course materials must be provided Curriculum must contain the following classes OR silimar: Occupational Math Introductory Math Intermediate Math/Algebra Advanced Math/Pre-Calculus Introductory Composition Intro to Public Speaking or Communications Intro to Technical/Engineering Drawing/Design Intro to Technical Drawing Intro to CADD Intro to Manufacturing Intro to Machining Intermediate Manufacturing/Machining Intro to CNC Programming Intermediate/Advanced CNC Intro to Electronics/Electrical Principles Intermediate Electronics Advanced Electronics Intro to Welding Oxy-Fuel Welding and Cutting Intro to Shielded Metal Arc Welding Intermediate Shielded Metal Arc Welding Intro to Gas Metal Arc Intermediate Gas Metal Arc The contractor may also be required to conduct Trade Theory Training for NFPC. All curriculum and material will be provided by the Government for these classes. The contractor shall have the ability to provide qualified instructors that have practical experience in the Patternmaker, Foundry Melter, Foundry Molder, Machinist, Welding, Rigging, Industrial Electronic, Production Machinery Repairer, and Ship Propeller Finisher Trades.
