The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia intends to procure three (3) Miller Electric welding machines and associated equipment on a sole source basis from Miller Electric. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and award with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization).
