The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to solicit for the services to repair the Controllable-Pitch Propeller (CPP) Hub and Oil-Distribution (OD) boxes as essential components to the propulsion system aboard DDG-51, LHA-6/LHD-8, CG-47, CG-66, LSD-41, LSD-49, LPD-17, and MCM-1 class vessels. CPP Hubs and OD Boxes are managed using a rotating spares methodology that require a rotatable pool of assets and material to support the repair of those assets issued to the Government on behalf of the NAVSEA 05Z 2S COG Marine Propulsion Program. This solicitation is expected to result in a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract on a sole source basis to Rolls-Royce Marine North America, Inc. (RRMNA). The ordering period is anticipated to be sixty (60) months and the period of performance is anticipated to be seventy-two (72) months. This procurement action is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15. Furthermore, this procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C.3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The planned acquisition will provide for repair of the parts listed in Table 1 in the attached document.
