This is a solicitation for noncommercial items prepared in accordance with FAR part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona Division requires a custom microphone mount. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332710. The anticipated contract type is Firm Fixed-Price. This is an all-or-none requirement and partial quotes will be deemed unresponsive and will not be evaluated. The Government will award on a single purchase order to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforms to the requirements as stated in the Solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government based on the criteria listed in section L and section M of the Solicitation. Offerors must be registered in SAM and all responsible sources may submit a quotation which, if timely received, will be considered by the Agency. Quotes are due no later than the response date in the posting. Responses/offers shall be submitted electronically, PDF or MS Word Format to the email address in the posting. Any amendment(s) issued to this Request for Quote (RFQ) will be published on this website. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division (Corona Division) is issuing this pre-solicitation to satisfy the requirements in accordance with (IAW) FAR 5.204 and FAR 5.207. Corona Division is seeking information from potential, responsible sources that have an interest and capability to provide custom machined microphone mounts in accordance with the attached Draft Purchase Description (PD). It is requested that all interested parties who can provide the required items to respond with a Capability Statement. The Capability Statement shall also include the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, and CAGE code. (2) Business size for NAICS Code 332710 Machine Shops. (3) Estimated unit price and lead time for market research purposes. (4) Industry commentary on the current version of the PD. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the requirement of this notice are invited to submit a response by the response day/time identified in the SAM posting. All responses under this pre-solicitation notice must be emailed to Julia Hunt at julia.m.hunt3.civ@us.navy.mil. The information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a small business, socioeconomic set-aside, competitive or non-competitive method is possible, and to determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government's requirement.
