The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division (Corona Division) intends to solicit and award a Cost-Plus-Fixed Fee, Level-of-Effort "bridge" contract for operations, maintenance, engineering and management services for te Southern California Tactical Training Range Systems and Equipment in support of the Corona Division's Range System Engineering Department. This "bridge" contract will be awarded on a sole source basis to the incumbent, PAE Applied Technologies LLC, 6500 W Freeway, Suite 400, Fort Worth, TX 76116-2118. PAE Applied Technologies currently performs this effort under Contract No. N00244-14-C-0007. The anticipated period of performance will span a total of up to three (3) months and include a one (1) month base period and two (2) one (1) month option periods. Corona Division intends to procure the required "bridge" contract services under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. PAE Applied Technologies LLC, is the only source capable of providing these highly specialized services during the follow-on Task Order transition period. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. This "bridge" contract is required to provide for continued service in support of U.S. Navy mission requirements during the follow-on Task Order transistion period made under competitive NSWC Corona Contract No. N6426720C3500.
