The process is calling out for both conductive and non-conductive fill. Can the non-conductive fill be changed to solder mask fill? The drawing specifically says to use a non-conductive resin. Please build in accordance with the drawings. 2.) On drawing 7572257, note 5a states that the board manufacturer shall select materials to meet the requirements specified. Under note 5b, it states that Prepreg material shall conform to standards. Our suppliers have come back to us requesting exact stack ups calling out the core thicknesses and prepregs. Our suppliers have come back stating that they can control necessary impedance, but there are varying parameters to get this result. Therefore, UST is requesting stack up documentation calling out the core thicknesses and Prepregs. Please advise if you can provide this information to us. The board manufacturer should recommend a stack-up that meets the requirements of the drawing. We can review and approve if needed. 3.) Is it okay if we use different manufacturers for a part if it is the same part number? Example: on the 7572256-9 parts list P/N: CWR09HC106KB has the change code for AVX but Kemet also make the same part and it is identical. See attached. Can we use the other part? API Electric, Micropac, and Anaren. 2.) We are having issues with pricing regarding 7572263 Find 91, the DDC part #BU-64863H8-E02. They are asking for an LOA, which can be problematic. Is there any chance of the Navy providing as GFM or for the Navy to provide all bidders with the expected unit price? DDC will provide quotes to vendor who will reference FY21-19865: N6339421Q0025 in their request for quote. ***Updated 3/16/2021 to answer the following questions asked and answered: 1.) Part number JS28F256P33BFE is found on the 1553B CCA (7572256-9), but is also found on the LCU Interface CCA (7572262-9) on line #52. I just want to confirm that as this device is obsolete, will this part number on the second document also be provided? There are 70 units on the first CCA, and another 70 units on the second CCA. Just want to confirm that a total of 140 units of this part number will be provided. Yes, 140 pieces will be provided. 2.) Will the government accept a ROHS or non-ROHS version of the part on the BOM? In general, if the part is not on the parts list, it is not an option to substitute Lead Free for Leaded. 3.) I wanted to verify that all parts for this Solicitation are to be ordered directly from the OEM’s or qualified sources? Yes, all parts should be ordered from recommended sources in the TDP as applicable, directly with the OEM or authorized distributors. ***Updated 3/18/2021 to answer the following question asked and answered. 1.) Anaren states they no longer support the A suffix of this part number and has been replaced with a C as mentioned in red. Please let us know if this is an acceptable part to use in place of the A version. We do not accept part numbers that are not explicitly listed in our TDP. We were able to obtain the quote for the part from Micropac.
