MARKET SURVEY - Request for Information (RFI): The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) issues this Sources Sought Notice as a means of conducting market research to identify interested parties for this requirement. This Sources Sought Notice is focused on identifying capabilities in the market place and resources to support this requirement, as well as obtaining related technical information for the procurement of the items listed below. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 335122, with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. The envisioned item anticipated to be procured from a contractor because of a potential future solicitation is identified below. This Navy program at NSWC PHD detachment White Sands Missile Range requires the use of mobile light towers to perform field testing operations in remote desert areas at night. These remote areas do not have electrical power nor lighting; therefore, the program must provide mobile light towers to illuminate the remote work area for program personnel to safely perform nighttime duties. Because these units use the more energy efficient LED lamps refueling intervals for continued use will be fewer and save the government operational costs in the end. •1) GENERAC mobile LED light tower, unit has (4) 296W LED fixtures which provide a total of 172,000 lumens, the LED fixtures are mounted atop of a vertical extendable mast that has a maximum height of 23 ft, P/N MLT6SMDS, 2 Ea. •2) To include shipping charges. Feedback and questions regarding the feasibility or challenges for providing the items described above •g. Information regarding the commerciality of the items described above Information herein is based on the best information available at the time of publication, is subject to revision, and is not binding upon the Government. The Government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to: •a. Provide supplies consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise, •b. Secure and apply the full range of corporate financial, human capital, and technical resources required to successfully perform similar requirements. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses or procured through full and open competition, and multiple awards may be made.
