This Sources Sought Notice is focused on identifying capabilities in the market place and resources to support this requirement, as well as obtaining related technical information for the procurement of the items listed below. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code assigned to this procurement is 334117. Product Service Code is 6650. The envisioned item anticipated to be procured from a contractor as a result of a potential future solicitation is identified below. Method of issue: Full & Open Competition The NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION is seeking the following requirement; DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCTS or SERVICES Salient Characteristics: The following Test Equipment is required to Test the Fiber Optic Cables for the CEC and AN/SLQ-32(V)6 Systems in addition to troubleshoot Fiber Optic cables for all GFE Systems for the LPD Program. The tests include Link-Loss, Attenuation, and Return Loss for the following systems: CEC, SLQ-32(V)6, SSDS, GPNTS, WSN-7, HME Network, NAV Network, NDDS, SPS-48, and any other GFE System with Fiber Optic). These Systems have both Multi-Mode and Single-Mode fibers and are required to be tested at different wavelengths as per MIL-STD-2042C. 1300 nm for Multi-Mode. 1310 nm and 1550 nm for Single-Mode. Tests are: 42711-2-013 Rev: Original AN/SLQ-32(V)6 Cable Verification and 48402-2-009 Rev: - CETPS (AN/USG-2B) Fiber Optic Transmission Line.
