This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The requirement is to procure a brand name product for all items in this requirement. Further clarification on the items are listed below. The statutory authority for this brand name procurement is 10 U. S. C. 2304(c)(1) per FAR 6.302-1 (c). The government requires that all contractors must be registered with System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which, if timely received, will be considered by the Agency. All proposals received will be reviewed and evaluated by the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable to the government. Naval Medical Research Unit Dayton has an existing plasma-cutting table in its fabrication shop and is in need of an exhaust filtration system to safely operate within the fabrication shop. The requirement must be capable of collecting, cleaning, and filtering the exhaust fumes and particles generated while using the plasma-cutting table. It must have requirement of spark arrest and fire retardant filter media to safely ingest incoming exhaust/dust and have capability to filter approximately 0.5 micron particulate size. Installation will be done by Naval Medical Reasearch Unit Dayton. Quantity required: 1 ea. FARR Gold Series Package (GSP) Dust Collector System, Model GSP6, or equivalent.
