This is a combined Synopsis and Solicitation for commerical contractural services. Pursuant to the authority of 41 USC 3304(a) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.501(a) (1) (ii). Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repairs, USN intends to award a sole sourced, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Huntington Ingalls Incorporated (HII), a division of Newport News Shipbuilding for the installation of unclassified Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) infrastructure (passive equipment) in the shipyard to support SUPSHIPNN NMCI extension to Net Center. The intent is to procure services from HII-NNS to install unclassified NMCI infrastructure to Building 2 and Net Center on HIINC-NNS property in support of SUPSHIPNN's NMCI extension. The services will include installing passive hardware for access switches and ensuring that the HVAC/ Cooling (Environmental) are consistent with modem IT standard requirements for all NMCI network. SUPSHIPNN is located in and operates from non-government spaces owned by HII-NNS, a private company. Because of this, HII-NNS is the only source capable of installing the unclassified NMCI infrastructure on its property. The Government intends to solicit and speak directly with Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII).
