The Government is seeking bidders for a services contract to provide the design and renovation of 45 high visibility spaces onboard CVN74. These spaces and the approximate square footage for each can be seen in Attachment 1. The contract awardee will provide a deliverable of design work in the form of drawings and visual aids, material swatches and other samples, and a material list with estimated cost of material. A final design for each space will be approved by the CVN74 Chain of Command prior to the contractor commencing the renovation of that space. The contract awardee shall be familiar with the shipboard construction environment and have or be able to obtain access to Newport News Shipyard. All materials used in the renovations shall be Navy shipboard compliant. Renovations shall include but are not limited to the following items as appropriate to the space: deck coverings, false overheads, bulkhead treatments, trim and door facings, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and furnishings. The planned date to post the Request for Proposals is October 28th, 2022 with proposals due to the Government by December 9th, 2022. The planned contract award date is March 6th, 2023. All interested parties are requested to submit the following information to the Government by the response date via email to both contacts provided below. Statement of capability: Please explain your capability of expertise, manning, and other relevant information to successfully complete this effort. Past Performance: Please provide a history of past performance in similar efforts. Availability: Please explain your availability in scheduling to successfully complete this effort.
