Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair, Groton is issuing this Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) for the sole purpose of conducting Market Research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. There is no solicitation available at this time. This is a Request for Information (RFI) notice only. This is not a request for proposal (RFP) and a formal solicitation is not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government to issue an RFP, contract, or order. This RFI is for informational planning purposes and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any actual procurement of materials, machinery, or services. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement. All costs associated with responding to this RFI are solely at the responding parties' expense. Respondents to this RFI should address at a minimum the following items based on the specification and reference documents attached: 1.) What type of work has your company performed in the past in support of the same or similar requirement as described in the attached specification? 2.) Can or has your company managed a task of this nature? If so, please provide details. 3.) What specific technical skills does your company possess which ensure capability to perform the tasks? 4.) Provide a statement including current small/large business status and company profile to include number of employees, CAGE Code, point of contact, etc. 5.) Respondents to this notice also must indicate whether they qualify as a Small, Small Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, HUB Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern. 6.) Please note that under a Small-Business Set-Aside, in accordance with FAR 52.219-14, the small business prime must perform at least 50% of the work themselves in terms of the cost of performance. Provide an explanation of your company's ability to perform at least 50% of the tasking described in this request. The deadline for response to this request is no later than 4 pm, EST, 7 December 2022.
