Sources Sought Synopsis Announcement TWO (2) Horizontal Split Case Fire Pumps Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Puget Sound is posting a sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest and recourse to support the requirement for procurement or lease of two horizontal split case fire pumps for SRF-JRMC Sasebo. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336611 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. The results of this market research will contribute to the decision whether to set-aside this requirement for small business concerns. No feedback or evaluations will be provided, via telephone or otherwise, regarding any submissions on this sources sought announcement. Description of Supplies/Services SRF-JRMC Sasebo is seeking to either procure and/or lease two horizontal split case fire pumps based upon the following equipment: Diesel 2500 GPM variable pressure output Controls to automatically maintain system pressure. Auto maintain at least 150 psi pump output with 4 of the ships most remote fire nozzles discharging concurrently. Output pressure of the most remote nozzles (4 each concurrently) 95 GPM 60 PSI Auto-start of pumps when fire hose nozzles start use (starting due to pressure loss due to activation of nozzle) Auto-stop when fire hose nozzle use stops (stopping of pressure loss due to stop of usage) Output pressure and flow gages or ability to determine output pressure and flow at controller Supervisory Alarms that includes Low Pressure High pressure Engine or controller trouble/fault Control Switch consisting of Auto Manual Off Each pump shall be capable of supplying required system flow rate Each pump has separate prime mover Pump operating pressures staggered to minimize pump cycling (i.e. one pump starts at 140 pis the other starts at 130 psi). Coverage to conduct weekly operational test of the pumps Freeze protection equipment provided Provided with UL 312 Check Valve (UL / FM SWING CHECK VALVES | Weflo) Interested vendors should respond by close of business 07 Feb 2023 and provide the estimated delivery date (after receipt of award) and any other pertinent information they chose to provide.
