The Department of Navy, NAVFAC Pacific, is conducting market research to identify potential manufacturers of ruggedized, switchgear-mounted Ethernet switches with performance and listing/approval requirements equal to the SEL-2741 manufactured by Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories. Third-party distributors, pass-through resellers, or supply brokers that do not directly own production or manufacturing rights to a qualified equivalent will not be considered responsive. The switches are for the FY2027 SIOP Electrical Backbone project at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. Required capabilities include managed industrial Ethernet communications, network management/security functions such as VLAN, RSTP, SNMP, and authentication, PTP/NTP time synchronization, network monitoring and alarms, and substation SCADA integration. This is not an RFP, quote request, or bid invitation; the Government seeks detailed technical data via email to Ms. Michelle Gopwani-Lee to evaluate potential alternatives.
