This acquisition is for the construction (design-bid-build) of 12 new standard Hayman earth covered magazines (ECMs), two partially covered concrete pads and an ammunition reworks and overhead shop to meet the Marine Corps mission on Anderson, Guam. Currently, USMC munitions storage and assembly operations are conducted afloat at bases located on Okinawa, Japan. The United States and Japanese governments have bilaterally agreed to relocate USMC units from Okinawa to Guam. This acquisition will result in a single Firm- Fixed-Price contract that will construct 12 ECMs capable of storing at a minimum 250,000 pounds net explosive weight of Class/Division 1.1 munitions.
