The Unites States Naval Hospital Okinawa (USNHO) has a requirement for preventive maintenance services for the onsite Abbott PRISM nEXT system. This requirement includes visits by field service personnel, live telephone support: 24-hour, 7 days/week, on-site service up to 6 calls per year (including travel and labor), scheduled response on site within 2 days, replacement parts (non-consumable), replacement of failed or damaged parts, one preventative maintenance call, manufacturer recommended operational and safety improvements, required software upgrades, and remote diagnostics (abbottlink). The Abbott PRISM nEXT is an automated immunoassay analyzer designed to perform chemiluminescent immunoassay (ChLIA) technology. The Abbott PRISM nEXT performs batch/continuous access and STAT processing of specimens containing both large and small molecular weight analytes. The system is a fully automated, high-volume blood donor screening analyzer designed to enhance the safety of the blood supply. The Prism instrument consolidates blood donor testing into a single system, reducing errors and tampering by automating the manual testing procedures and steps currently used to screen blood.
