Subject requirement is a Design-Build (DB), Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) construction project. The project intent is to repair two guide piles, guide pile assemblies, heavily corroded connection hardware, assemblies, deteriorated decking, loose float connection hardware, and deteriorated cleats. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, management, supervision, incidental engineering, and transportation necessary to perform all work required in accordance with the project specifications. Contractor shall ensure that scheduling and performance of the work cause minimal interference to pier operations and environmental impact/disturbance of people and wildlife within the work area. All life, fire and safety requirements shall be operational throughout the duration of work. The Scope of Work (SOW) consists of one (1) FFP Base Bid and three (3) FFP Optional line items. CLIN 0001 BASE BID (FFP): 1. Repair the southern two (2) guide piles 2. Replace abrasion pads and assemblies in conjunction with guide pile repair 3. Repair and/or replace loose connection hardware securing finger floats to main floats. Accessories that have heavy corrosion shall be replaced 4. Install two (2) new cathodic protection/sacrificial anode to prevent corrosion on new/repaired guide piles. OPTIONAL CLIN 0002 (FFP): 1. Repair and/or replace loose and/or deteriorated areas of decking. Provide the deck with a nonskid surface. OPTIONAL CLIN 0003 (FFP): 1. Replace worn abrasion pads and/or connection hardware for the remaining guide pile assemblies. NOTE: Preferred new abrasion pads with be rubber rollers. OPTIONAL CLIN 0004 (FFP): 1. Replace mooring cleats and/or connections that show moderate to severe corrosion. Provide cleats with a minimum 5,000-pound (22 kN) capacity for securing small craft.
