This notice is a market research tool being utilized for preliminary planning purposes to identify potential sources (large and small) for a firm-fixed-price contract to provide one (1) new rubber tire gantry (RTG) crane with a minimum rated capacity of 300-tons suitable for lifting, pick and carry, and up-ending of concrete structures and various ordnance. Additionally, this contract will include as an option designing, manufacturing, and certification of a lifting assembly designed for use with the primary load. This notice seeks information on the commercial availability of this weight handling equipment. The information received will be used within Naval Facilities Engineering Command Systems (NAVFACSYSCOM) Atlantic / Navy Crane Center (NAVCRANECEN), Portsmouth, VA to facilitate the decision-making process.
