NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE June 2, 2020 The Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) Contracts Department at Stennis Space Center, MS 39522, hereby formally announces the intent to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Mechelen. Contractor will fabricate core liners per the manufactures modified technical drawings and specifications to include purchase of raw materials for the fabrication. The proposed contract action is for supply for which NAVOCEANO intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 41. U.S.C. 1901(e), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However; all interested persons that identify to the Contracting Officer their intent and capabilities, to satisfy the Government’s requirement with commercial items and are received within 5 calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
