The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) requires oceanographic sensor calibration on existing NPS sensors to conduct research experiments. These instruments are overdue for maintenance and require calibration prior to deployment in the Coastal Land Sea Air Interaction (CLASI) experiment in Monterey Bay Fall 2020. These instruments measure conductivity (C), temperature (T), and pressure(P). These RBR instruments were moored beneath ocean buoys and used to sample the C, T, and P at specific depths and record the data internally. According to the manufacture RBR-global the units require calibration/service after one year of being deployed in the ocean to ensure accuracy.
