The Defense Analysis Department at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), has a requirement for support services to deliver one section of DA4410, Models of Conflict, in-residence course, in the academic year 2020 during the Summer quarter, date of award through September 2020. The period of performance of the contract will be from date of award through 30 September 2020. DA4410: Models of Conflict This course deals with the problems faced by a rational decision maker, trying to maximize some payoff in a social setting. A distinction will be made between Type I behavior (optimization in a game against nature), Type II (optimization when faced with agents who react against the decision maker's perceived behavior), Type III (optimizations against strategic agents), and Type IV (cooperation with other agents). Applications include arms race models, treaty inspections problems, monopolistic behavior, coalition formation, and pursuit games. The computer is used as a modeling tool. Prerequisites: DA2410. Contractor support is required to facilitate the learning objectives to the students enrolled in the course. The contractor shall monitor student’s performance throughout the academic quarter and establish a graduate level understanding of the subject matter. The contractor will be provided existing and available course materials, lesson plans, sample syllabus, and lecture notes from previous deliveries of the course as Government Furnished Information (GFI). The contractor will be given access to Government provided course management websites and content. The above referenced course is an in-residence course to be delivered on-site at the Naval Postgraduate School located in Monterey, California.
