Contractor must provide the Human Systems Integration (HSI) team members with 5 days of on-site training on the most effective use of CPS Light Canvases and how to integrate the use of other CPS technology (e.g., olfaction system, actigpatches), covering the following topics: How to set up the data collection areas for lab based research studies (e.g., light placement) and determine appropriate light levels for intended research, how to set up or pick appropriate light delivery recipes for the CPS light canvases and light boxes, which outcome measures need to be assessed to appropriately understand the impacts of the light intervention, how to label, collect and store salivary melatonin samples, when and how to use performance measuring mechanisms (e.g., pvt) to capture the effects of the targeted intervention, how to use sleep and wake Electroencephalography (EEG) to measure impacts on the homeostatic sleep process. Contractor must also visit up to 6 research sites to advise on placement/use of the CPS Light Canvases and other CPS technologies. This includes preliminary assessment of environment and recommendations on how to proceed with the use of the CPS light system. and advice on the directionality, location and form factoring (e.g., benefits of light canvases v. light boxes). Contractor must develop complex customized light delivery recipes to be used with the Circadian Positioning Systems canvas lights and light boxes based on the crewmember's watchstanding schedules, provide remote training/product support and provide the HSI team with 4 days of training on how to analyze and interpret dim light melatonin onset (DLMO).
