The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Orlando, FL intends to award a sole-source contract for the Japan E-2D FMS Weapon System Trainer (WST) Reach-Back (Sustainment) Support effort. The recipient is Collins Aerospace, which is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the existing Japan Ministry of Defense (JMoD) E-2D Weapon System Trainer (WST), Device 15F14-J. This synopsis is to meet the requirement of FAR 5.201(b)(1) and to illustrate the Government’s intention to award a contract to Collins Aerospace for the Reach-Back (Sustainment) Support effort. Based on Market Research, Collins Aerospace is the only company capable of performing the support functions required by the Government to the Japan E-2D WST, due to the existing necessary knowledge and skills required to operate and maintain the E-2D WST.
