The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), Orlando, FL, seeks potential sources pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B) to execute an acquisition for AVET/NATS training systems Hoist Obsolescence Corrections (HOC). The AVET/NATS HOC delivery locations will be Naval Station (NS) Norfolk, VA; Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, CA; NS Mayport, FL; and NAS Jacksonville, FL. AVET/NATS are motion-based simulators with the purpose to provide critical Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) and operational aircrew men training. AVET/NATS will support all levels of aircrew Seahawk Weapons and Tactics Instruction (SWTI) and deployment training requirements for the MH-60R and MH-60S aircraft, respectively. In each device, aircrew men can be trained in various scenarios emphasizing crew resource management, aerial gunnery, rescue hoist operations, search and rescue, ship deck familiarization, helicopter in-flight refueling, and vertical replenishment procedures. The AVET/NATS devices will provide the capabilities required to train individual and collective crew tasks including mission planning, rehearsal, execution, and instructor assessments. The NATS will also be capable of performing Sensor Operator (SO) training. The capability to provide combined crew training in various naval helicopter flight operations make the AVET/NATS devices essential to the fleet.
