The purpose of this procurement is to acquire Mellanox InfiniBand switch and network cables to interconnect the BLQ-10 software for the TI-20 iteration for the Naval Research local Engineering Development Environment (EDM). This item is a rack-mounted switch matches the speed and other specification required by the tactical TI-20 BLQ-10 software. The required switch and network cables (descriptions, specifications, part number, and quantities) are identified in combined synopsis/solicitation under Table 1, which is brand name or equal. Configuration control is of significant importance, as current environment and support structures (e.g., classroom dimensions, connectivity, environmental controls, utility capacity, etc.) cannot be altered without significant additional expense (cost and schedule) or negatively impacting training capacity.
