Kampi Components Co., Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the items needing to be repaired and therefore has the proprietary drawings and knowledge required to repair the failed components. If another vendor were to be selected, the repairs may not be performed properly, resulting in system support delay and excess cost to the Government. As such, the government does not expect significant savings through competition and it is more advantageous to the Government to award on a sole source basis to Kampi Components Co., Inc.
