The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) has a requirement to acquire Global Positioning Systems (GPS) Iridium Repeater Systems. The purpose of the GPS-Iridium repeater system is to support pre-launch/pre-mission communications to both the Knifefish (KF) Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) while below deck inside the Mission Bay area of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS). Repeater communication responsibilities shall include the ability of both UUV and USVs to receive Global Positioning System (GPS) signals from a topside GPS antenna and the ability for the KF UUV to transmit/receive Iridium signals to/from topside Iridium antennas while inside the Mission Bay area.
