The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, FL (NSWC PCD) intends to award a contract using brand name for Mercury Systems, Inc. hardware. This procurement is brand name for the following reason: the Mercury NAS is the only authorized NAS for the MPCE 2.0 configuration and is part of a much larger configuration controlled system. If another brand were to be selected, extensive testing would be required, resulting in significant project delays and additional costs to the Government.
