This action will award a firm fixed price purchase order, on a brand specific basis, to acquire the following: Line Qty Item/Model Description 1 6 Order Model#: 212-64-010-01 EHD, TRANSDUCER, PRESS & TEMP, 0- 1000 PSIA 2 5 Order Model#: 212-64-010-03 EHD, TRANSDUCER, PRESS & TEMP, 0- 5000 PSIA 3 1 Shipping Shipping to 321 Bullfinch Road, Panama City, FL 32407 Rosemount Emerson brand combination pressure and temperature transducers are currently used at the Navy Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU) hyperbaric facilities by approval and direction of the Naval Sea Systems Command Supervisor of Salvage & Diving (NAVSEA 00C). These components form highly specialized life support systems under the NAVSEA Diving Certification Authority. Only those articles which have been successfully tested are qualified. The equipment is being acquired as new equipment to meet testing requirements of unmanned diving operations at NEDU. Monitoring and controlling the gases of the diving equipment while testing under pressure is critical to meet the requirements to fulfill NAVSEA testing programs. The Rosemount Emerson combination pressure and temperature transducers requested are the ONLY equipment compatible with the current installed hardware and software control systems. In summary, using alternate equipment would prove costly in time and dollars to the government and to the mission. Use of another system may change or introduce new parameters that may be harmful to all diving systems tested and maintained at NEDU. Therefore, it is imperative that this particular brand of equipment is purchased. Only new items with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) warranty are acceptable (no refurbished or “gray market” items permitted). Competition will be limited to authorized distributors and resellers of Rosemount brand equipment.
