The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division FL is soliciting quotes for a firm fixed price commercial item order for the following General Micro Systems Inc. (GMS) brand specific commercial off-the-shelf items. This purchase is limited to authorized Regional Distributors of the GMS brand products, Description Part Number Quantity I/O Board G-7137 2 I/O Board RTM G-7138 2 SBC RTM G-7135 12 Serial Board G-7139 2 Serial Board RTM G-7140 2 Video Mux G-7133 2 Video Mux RTM G-7136 2 This procurement is brand specific because the LCAC-100 utilizes the GMS boards and RTMs as part of the new system baseline. The boards and RTMs are in direct support of the LCAC-100 and meet the current baseline specifications. The use of third party boards and RTMs would be required to match the LCAC-100 requirements and would require significant additional testing to ensure 100% compatibility and functionality. Utilizing a brand other than GMS will require significantly more testing and oversight on the part of the government before the boards can be included in the LCAC-100 software integration laboratory (SIL) environment. The items being procured are proprietary to GMS as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and are sold through GMS authorized regional distributors.
