The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, FL (NSWC-PCD) intends to award a firm fixed price puchase order using simplified axquisition proceuderes to update and retrofit the existing Kompakt Shelving system which is no longer being manufactured. The current system is electric. The possibility of severe weather in which any power outage or system electrical failure coupled with there being a scarcity of repair parts for our current system, would leave the materials on the shelves inaccessible. Therefore, an updated shelving system is being acquired which will consist of a refit of the current system to accommodate a manual movement system that will work with the existing tracks. The existing system will also contain updated shelving that will replace areas of shallow depth. This new shelving will be useful for the retrieval of archived library material. A description of the supplies or services required to meet the agency’s needs (including the estimated value). The following item is being acquired: Item Qty Est. Cost Updated Mobile Shelving system with HD5 Mechanical Assist 1 This acquisition will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures with a total estimated value of approximately $. The Government’s minimum needs have been verified by the certifying technical and requirements personnel. The updated shelving system will be completed within 45 days after award of purchase order. This memo does not authorize acquisition for other requirements. A site visit will be available for small business vendors with a active current cage code: Wednesday12 May 2021.
