Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Code 410B Procurement intends to award a Sole Source contract to Walz and Krenzer, Inc. to provide the direct replacement parts of the boat bay doors which includes: actuator, linkage assembly, dog assembly and gasketing material in support of the USS ZUMWALT (DDG-1000) in support of the FY-24 Drydocking Selected Restricted Availability. The requirement will be processed in accordance with FAR part 15. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332321 and the business size standard is 750 employees. Walz and Krenzer, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the boat bay doors. The required parts must be replaced with the same material previously used and must have the same function capability as the part is attached to the component. In addition, the replacement part must be compatible in all aspects to form, fit, and function with existing equipment. Walz and Krenzer, Inc. has no authorized distributors and as is the only known source available to acquire the required parts. This notice is neither a request nor a solicitation of offers; however, all information received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be reviewed by the Government for future considerations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement in the future is the best interest of the Government. Responses must provide clean and concise documentation indicating vendor’s bona fide capability to provide this product or equivalency. Reponses must include company name, address, telephone number of the requester, e-mail address, CAGE code and business size. Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is conducting market research to determine industry’s capability to provide original equipment manufacturer (OEM) direct replacement of actuator, linkage assembly, dog assembly and gasketing material for the USS ZUMWALT (DDG-1000) Boat Bay Door. This is in direct support of the upcoming FY-23 Dry-docking Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA). See Product Description for part numbers (Enclosure (1)). The contractor shall furnish ALL materials required in the Product Description List. SWRMC is especially interested in determining small business capability and interest. SWRMC is contemplating award of a firm fixed price contract for the requirement specified in the attached Product Description List. The applicable NAICS code is 332321 Metal Window and Door Manufacturing. What/Where to Submit: Interested companies should submit, on company letterhead, a notice of interesting including the name, telephone number, mailing address and e-mail address of one point of contact.
