Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Code 410B Procurement intends to award a sole source contract to Fairbanks Morse, LLC to provide for the Main Propulsion Diesel Engine (MPDE) and Ship’s Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) direct replacement parts in support of the USS GERMANTOWN (LSD-42) FY22 Selected Restricted Availability. The requirement will be processed in accordance with FAR part 15. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333618 and the business size standard is 1,500 employees. Fairbanks Morse, LLC is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the MPDE and SSDG parts. The required parts must be replaced with the same exact material previously used and must have the same function capability as the part previously attached to the component. In addition, the replacement part must be compatible in all aspects to form, fit, and function with the existing equipment. Fairbanks Morse, LLC has no authorized distributors and as is the only known source available to acquire the required parts. This notice is neither a request nor a solicitation of offers; however, all information received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be reviewed by the Government for future considerations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement in the future is in the best interest of the Government. Responses must provide clean and concise documentation indicating a vendor's bona fide capability to provide this product or equivalency. Responses must include company name, address, telephone number of the requester, e-mail address, Cage code and business size. Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is conducting market research to determine industry’s capability to provide original equipment manufacturer (OEM) materials for the USS GERMANTOWN’s (LSD-42) Main Propulsion Diesel Engine (MPDE) and Ship’s Service Diesel Generators (SSDG). This is in direct support of the upcoming FY-22 Selected Restricted Availability (SRA). See Product Description List, (Enclosure (1). The contractor shall furnish ALL materials required in the Product Description List. SWRMC is especially interested in determining small business capability and interest. SWRMC is contemplating award of a firm fixed price contract for the requirement specified in the attached Product Description List. The applicable NAICS code is 333618 Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing. What/Where to Submit: Interested companies should submit, on company letterhead, a notice of interest including the name, telephone number, mailing address, and e-mail address of one point of contact.
