Sources Sought Notice Only Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) has a need for the following: Rental of warehouse space for two (2) large door panels from the USS MAKIN ISLAND (LHD-8), each approximately 6’ W x 17’ H x 2’ T each weighing approximately 4000 lbs. These panels need to lay flat to avoid further damage. There will also likely be a pallet or two of associated parts like swing arms, dogging assemblies, etc. Estimated performance period: 5/15/2020 to 5/31/2022. The vendor will be responsible for transporting the equipment from the pier to the long-term storage facility and back with facility being located in the San Diego area. SWRMC is seeking small business vendors under NAICS 531130 that can provide the long-term warehouse space to accommodate the panel and associated parts mentioned above. Interested vendors should submit a full description of their proposed warehouse space that is locked and environmentally controlled and is located within San Diego County. The information submitted will be used for acquisition planning purposes. The Government does not commit to providing a response to any comments or questions. No basis for a claim against the government shall arise as a result of this announcement.
