The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego (SWRMC) intends to issue a sole source solicitation to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Wartsila Defense, Inc. for direct replacement parts and components for the USS MONTGOMERY’s (LCS-8) waterjet jet, waterjet assembly, jetavator, stator, seat ring, thrust bearing, shaft seals, impellers, shafts, hydraulic rams, and all seals which comprise the ship’s main propulsion. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements IAW FAR 6.302-1(c). The repairs to the ship’s main propulsion are scheduled to be accomplished during an upcoming FY-20 Drydocking Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA). The resulting award will be a Single Award, Firm Fixed Price contract. The applicable NAICS will be "336611" Business size: 1250 (millions of dollars). This presolicitation notice is not an invitation for proposals from offerors.
