Replace EdgeTech 2200 e-bottle electronics chassis and pressure test in support of submarine arctic operations and performing research regarding operational performance of nuclear submarines in the arctic. Specifically, the Side Scan Ebottle requires all the electronics chassis to be replaced due to water damage and old components. This repair will include upgrading the housing and end caps to titanium vice stainless steel. This repair will also upgrade the Model 4125 Topside rack mounted unit for the interface with the Ebottle. This equipment is installed on US Navy submarines based on ASL’s NAVSEA Approved TempAlt packages and cannot be substituted with other existing equipment. The use of EDGE TECH’s Side Scan Sonar Instrumentation is specifically required for use as listed on ASL’s NAVSEA approved drawings 8468446, 8468447, and 8468471. As a result, EDGE TECH’s Side Scan Sonar Instrumentation is the only system able to meet ASL’s technical requirements for compatibility with existing TempAlt systems. EDGE TECH is the proprietary company for the Side Scan Sonar equipment and operational program.
