The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), intends to procure repair services in support of the USS BATAAN (LHD-5). The necessary repairs are to the port accommodation ladder and supporting lower platform. The subject requirement is to repair the port accommodation ladder and lower platform. During the ensurve it was discovered that the port accommodation ladder and supporting lower platform was degraded beyond repair and could not be rigged properly. Failure to replace will cause catastrophic damage to ships personnel and equipment. The critical repairs repair and fabricate the ladder and lower platform are required to be completed during the Period of Performance 9/22/22-3/1/23. The repairs have to be completed before the ship movement.
