Pursuant to the authority at FAR 52.215-3 Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes, this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought for information and planning purposes. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or to otherwise pay for the information solicited - all responses will be treated as information only and it is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Virginia is seeking information on wood plank restorations for a Landoll Trailer Model 370. The blueprints that specify the wood plank dimensions are proprietary information and therefore will not be distributed to anyone. Please see included pictures for the planks. This requirement is intended to be a sole-source requirement, but is seeking information from others in regards to whether other businesses can provide the required items. The Government plans to procure these services as a Commercial Item as defined in FAR 2.101. The items shall have the minimum specifications: Reponses to this Sources Sought request shall reference the Sources Sought number and shall include the following information in this format: 1) Provide a non-binding coureousy quote, also knwn as a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), with regard to the unit price for each item. 2) Company name, address, Point of Contact name, phone number, fax number and email address. 3) Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. 4) Size of business - Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantage, 8(a), Hubzone, Woman-owned and/or Veteran-owned. 5) Capability statement displaying the contractor’s ability to provide the minimum requirements to include past performance information. If past performance information is provided, please include only relevant past performance on the same/similar work within the last 5 years. Please also include in past performance information the contract numbers, dollar value, and period of performance for each contract referenced in the response to this sources sought. 6) Provide questions, comments, or feedback regarding the item, planned contract type, or any other associated information. Responses shall be emailed to the Point of Contact (POC) listed in this notice by the closing date and time of this notice. Any inquiries and capability statements received after the due date shall not be considered. Again, this is not a request for a proposal. Respondents will not be notified of the results and the Government is not required to answer any questions submitted in regards to this sources sought notice.
